Your well data is yours.
We use what you send us to book your tests, run them and bill you. We do not sell it.
Who we are
Echo Testing does fluid level and dynamometer testing on oil and gas wells. We are a Texas business. We test wells in the Permian, Delaware, Eagle Ford, Anadarko, Powder River and Williston basins.
This page covers this website, the booking form, account setup, the customer login and the dyno class sign-up. Questions go to Sales@echotesting.com or (210) 944-8870.
What we collect
Here is what we ask for, and where.
Booking a test. Your name, company, phone and email. The lease, well number, API number, county and state of each well. Coordinates, if you choose to give them. Gate codes and access directions. The service you want, the date, the time window and any notes. A PO number, AFE number, payment terms, billing address and invoice email. Only a phone number or an email is required. A booking sets up a customer record on our side. It does not create a login.
Setting up an account. Your company, your name, email, phone, billing address and a password. We store the password scrambled. We cannot read it.
Accepting our terms. When you accept our terms and right of entry, we keep your typed name and title, your email, the date and time, the IP address and browser type you used, and the exact wording you accepted.
Contacting us. There is no contact form. If you call or email, we keep what you tell us in our email and our job records. When we send you a quote, we keep the quote.
Applying for open terms. Your legal name, trade name, entity type, years in business and billing address. Your accounts payable contact's name, email and phone. The terms and monthly limit you want. A bank reference and trade references. Your typed name and title, and the IP address you used. We keep only the last four digits of your tax ID. Please do not enter a bank account number or a full tax ID anywhere on the form. When you list references, we may contact them.
Using the customer login. Your wells, jobs, tickets, readings, invoices, payments, standing order requests, and the files and comments you add. We also note when you last signed in.
Referring someone. Their company, name, email, phone and county, and a note from you. If you leave the box ticked, we send them one short introduction that says you suggested us. They can ask us to delete their details.
Signing up for the dyno class. Your name, company, email, phone and a note.
At the well. Our technician records the readings (fluid level, pump depth, casing and tubing pressure, pump submergence), his findings and recommendations, photos and files from the test, the times he arrives at and leaves your well, and the name of the person who signs the ticket.
On the website itself. When you send a booking, signup or class form, we keep your IP address and the time so we can stop spam and repeat submissions. That record clears out after about ten minutes, when the next form comes in. Our hosting company also keeps ordinary technical logs of visits to the site.
Why we use it
To book and schedule your tests and send a technician. To run the test and give you the results. To invoice you and take payment. To decide on open terms. To keep a record of what you agreed to. To answer you. To keep spam out. To keep our books and pay our taxes. To follow the law.
We do not use it for advertising.
Your well data
Readings, shots, cards and reports from your wells belong to you. We keep a copy in your login so the history of each well stays available to you. We use it to do the work and to support you.
We do not sell your well data. We do not share it with anyone else, except the service providers listed below, when the law requires it or a regulator asks, or when you agree in writing.
We may use summaries that cannot be traced to you, your leases or your wells to improve how we test. We do not sell those either.
Who receives it
Our people. Office staff see what they need to schedule, bill and support you, including credit applications. The technician on your job gets your contact name and phone, the well details, and the gate codes and directions you gave us.
Companies that help us run the site.
- Resend delivers our email. Booking notices, confirmations, invoices, quotes and terms pass through Resend.
- Railway hosts this website, our database and the files you upload.
- QuickBooks. Our office exports customer and invoice details from the site (name, email, phone, billing address, invoice lines, lease and well names, county and state) and loads them into our accounting software, QuickBooks.
- Our payment processor. When we turn on online card payment, you will pay on the payment company's own page, not ours.
- Google Maps. Our staff and technicians open a well's location in Google Maps to find it. Google gets that location when they do.
If our business is sold or merged, your records may move with it.
How long we keep it
Account, job, ticket, reading, invoice and payment records stay while you are a customer. After that they stay as long as we need them for accounting, taxes and settling disagreements. Signed terms and credit applications stay with the account. We do not have a fixed delete date today.
Emails we receive stay in our mailboxes like any business email. The spam-check record clears in about ten minutes. Our host's logs follow the host's own schedule.
Cookies
We use one cookie, called "session." It keeps you signed in. We set it when you sign in, and sometimes when the site shows you a message, such as a form error. It does not track you. A sign-in lasts up to 31 days, or until you sign out.
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. This site loads no scripts, fonts or videos from other companies.
Security
Your password is stored scrambled, so we cannot read it. A customer login shows only that customer's own wells, invoices and files. Office accounts are limited by role. The site loads over a secure connection. This system has no place to store a card number, and we do not store one.
Email is not a locked box. Booking notices, gate codes and invoices travel by email. Please do not put a card number, a bank account number or a full tax ID in a form or an email to us.
No website is perfectly safe. If your information is ever exposed, we will tell you as Texas law requires.
What we never do
We never sell your information.
We never store card numbers, card security codes or bank account numbers in this system. If you give us a card number by phone, we use it to take that payment and we do not enter it into this site's records.
We never use your information for advertising.
Your choices
To get a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted, email Sales@echotesting.com or call (210) 944-8870. We may ask you to write from the email address we have on file so we know it is you.
We delete what we are not required to keep. We must keep some business records, such as invoices, tickets, payment records and the terms you signed. If we keep something, we tell you what and why.
Customers can download their well history and their invoices from the customer login at any time.
Children
This site is for businesses. It is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
